State Regulation

In Massachusetts, it is a legal requirement to have a Food Manager Certification. Always Food Safe's Manager Certification Will Be Accepted By Your Health Inspector and across the USA.

Per 105 CMR 590, every food establishment must have a designated person in charge (PIC) who meets the following criteria:
  • The PIC must be an on-site manager or supervisor.
  • The PIC must be at least 18 years old.
  • The PIC must hold a certification as a Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM).

To meet the certification criteria, you must obtain an ANAB Food Manager certification through an ANAB-accredited provider such as Always Food Safe.
