According to NJAC 8:24-2.1(b), the state of New Jersey mandates that Food Establishment must have a Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) present on-site at all times.
To obtain CFPM certification, individuals are required to successfully pass a food safety examination administered by an accredited program such as Always Food Safe.

To meet the certification criteria, you must obtain an ANAB Food Manager certification through an ANAB-accredited provider such as Always Food Safe.

How long is the food manager certification good for?

The certificate is valid for up to five years from the date of the exam.
