In Rhode Island, it is a legal requirement to have a Food Manager Certification. Always Food Safe's Manager Certification Will Be Accepted By Your Health Inspector and across the USA.

According to the regulations outlined in 216-RICR-50-10-2, every food establishment operating in Rhode Island that handles potentially hazardous food is required to have at least one full-time, on-site manager who is certified in food safety. A certified individual needs to be present on-site at all times when food is being prepared or served.
If the establishment employs the equivalent of ten or more full-time employees for food preparation, then there must be a minimum of two on-site certified managers.
To obtain certification in Rhode Island, individuals are required to successfully pass a proctored and ANAB-accredited examination, such as the one offered by our organization.
If this is your first time seeking certification, Rhode Island mandates that you complete an 8-hour course from an approved provider, such as Always Food Safe training before taking the examination.
Once these prerequisites have been fulfilled, you must apply along with the corresponding fee to the Center for Food Protection. Upon approval, they will issue an official identification card.
